Notice of change of certificate design

From September 2018 the appearance of Trinity College London’s certificates is changing. The new design will be used across all Trinity qualifications and incorporates additional security features to protect against fraud. Certificate timeframes

Discover certificates will be sent within 4 weeks from the point of confirming young people’s names. 

For moderation, except in the case of Explore postal moderation, all certificates will be dispatched within 4 weeks from the moderation date.

In the case of Explore postal moderation, certificates will be dispatched within 6 weeks from your approved sample confirmation date.

Please ensure that your invoice has been paid so that we can dispatch certificates to you promptly. If your invoice is not paid until after the moderation has taken place, we will not be able to send your certificates out in the time frame stated.  


Certificate replacement and amendment

Replacements: are requested when certificates are lost or damaged
Amendments: are requested when errors need to be corrected and those errors appeared in the information submitted via the adviser portal online system, or in the information sent to Arts Award to be submitted on behalf of the centre. 
We are required by Ofqual to stamp reissued certificates with a re-issue date. This will be on the front left hand corner of the certificate. The only exception to this requirement is where there has been a clerical error by the Arts Award team or the adviser (e.g. an incorrect spelling) AND provided that the incorrect certificate(s) are returned within 28 days of issue.

The costs for certificate replacement and amendment are as follows:

  • £4.00 per Discover certificate 
  • £13.75 per Explore certificate
  • £24.50 per Bronze certificate
  • £25 per Silver/Gold certificate

The charges for Discover replacement certificates will be capped if you require several from the same certificates order. There is a maximum charge of £55 for each certificate order.

The charges for Explore/Bronze/Silver/Gold replacement certificates will be capped if you require several from the same moderation order. In this case, you will be charged full price for the 1st certificate plus £5 per certificate for the next 9. You will only be charged for 10 certificates even if there are more than 10 certificates required from the same moderation order.

To order a replacement certificate, you must complete the certificate replacement and amendment form and return it by e-mail to moderation.team@trinitycollege.co.uk or by post to Arts Award, Trinity College London, AMP House, 10th Floor, Dingwall Road, Croydon, CR0 2LX, England. Once we receive your form, we will send you an invoice via e-mail within 5 working days.

Payment can be made by cheque, or by BACS transfer. Please send remittance advice or confirm full payment details by e-mail to moderation.team@trinitycollege.co.uk so that we are able to issue your certificates.


Changes to your centre name

Changes to the name of your centre which appears on certificates should be made by contacting the Arts Award helpdesk prior to placing your moderation booking or submitting your young people's details for Discover.
